Front Desk Excellence: Where It All Begins


Event Description: Please join the West Viriginia Primary Care Association and Highmark Health Options for an interactive one hour training for front desk personnel. During the session, front desk personnel will be trained on topics that impact both patient experience and safety including, an insurance overview, cultural competency, the impact of the front desk team, and how to contribute to overall patient satisfaction. This training is being offered as part of Highmark Health Options' ongoing commitment to collaborating and supporting you as their provider partners, and will be offered on multiple days at different times for your convenience!

Objectives and Goals:
This training session will focus on key areas that significantly impact patient experience and practice efficiency:

  1. Insurance 101: A simplified overview of insurance basics, patient billing, and navigating insurance complexities.

  2. Cultural Competency: Fostering an inclusive environment by understanding different cultural backgrounds and communication styles.

  3. Staff Impact: Recognizing the impact of your front desk team on patient flow, appointment scheduling, and overall practice productivity.

  4. Patient Satisfaction: Understanding the opportunity to create a positive first impression and contribute to overall patient satisfaction. 

Event Dates and Times: This event will be offered on two separate days at different times. You only need to register for one virtual session.
