2024 WVPCA Annual Community Health Center Leadership Forum: Leading the Way to a Healthy West Virginia: Community Focus for Collective Impact

The West Virginia Primary Care Association (WVPCA) is thrilled to invite you to our Annual Community Health Center Leadership Forum this September 9th – 11th, at The Resort at Glade Springs in Daniels, West Virginia. The theme of this year’s Forum is “Community Focus For Collective Impact”. Thirty four West Virginia Community Health Centers serve over 550,000 patients, representing over one third of the Mountain State’s population. We have not only a great responsibility, but a great opportunity to use our network and collective strength to impact the communities we serve in a positive way. This year’s Forum will focus on topics suggested by you- such as updates from state and federal partners, AI in healthcare, value-based forecasting, quality improvement success stories, SDoH, leveraging population health, workforce and culture, and advocacy. There’s something for everyone, and due to the timeliness and relevancy of topics, this year the Forum will be open to ALL Health Center Staff! Get your teams together and join us for 2.5 days packed full of information, updates, and networking!

During this year’s Forum, we will hear from national and state partners from NACHC, HRSA, and the WVDHHR. Workforce has been identified as a top priority for our Health Centers, and this year’s Forum will feature several sessions to home in on those issues including a panel featuring state organizations discussing resources available to health centers, such as provider loan repayment, partnership opportunities for workforce advancement, and information on shortages and HPSA designations. Dr. Renee Thompson will present multiple sessions focused on the critical role of trust in effective interprofessional collaboration and effective team communication. We have also developed a crucial session regarding the role of AI in healthcare and how your health center can better understand this powerful technology and make decisions accordingly. Quality improvement and data management are always a hot topic, so we will feature sessions including chronic care management, PVP tools, and population health management, referral management, and a MCO roundtable. We know that Value-Based forecasting has been on a lot of your minds recently, so we’ve teamed up with our partners at FORVIS to bring you multiple sessions centered around that topic as well. The Forum will also feature a special session centered on advocacy and how you can help champion your health center’s cause and effectively tell your story. As you can see, this year’s Forum is packed with timely and rich topics curated specifically to be what you and your health center need, so be sure to register and join us at Glade Springs for this impactful event!
